June 1, 2012 Johan Santana pitches the 1st no-hitter in New York Mets history beating the St. Louis Cardinals 8-0.
March 29, 2009 The opening of Citi Field – St John’s vs. Georgetown, A great opportunity to see the new ballpark. Georgetown beat St. John’s 6-4 and Sean Lamont of Georgetown hit the 1st homerun in Citi Field history.
April 3, 2009 The Mets 1st game at Citi Field – an exhibition game against the Boston Red Sox. The Mets beat the Red Sox in a rain delayed game 4-3.
April 13, 2009 The 1st Opening Day game: Mets vs. the San Diego Padres.
April 25, 2009 Bobby and Danny sent Cathy and I to Citi Field, via limo, to see a Mets game in celebration of our 50th birthday. We got to experience the game from the Pepsi Porch where we both wanted to see a game from. To make the game more memorable, it was against the Atlanta Braves. As if that weren’t enough, it rained the entire game and Mike Pelfrey won a 1-0 rain shortened 6 inning game.
